The Senior Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Strategic Communications and Content and works closely with the Advancement, Design, and Media teams, as well as across departments, to promote MASS MoCA to a wide range of people, and establish and maintain a strong brand identity across channels. The Senior Marketing Manager is an action-oriented self-starter and strategic thinker who develops, oversees, and implements marketing plans to include digital, print, and email. The successful candidate is a strong manager who has a passion for arts and cultural institutions, enjoys being part of a close-knit team that works collaboratively across departments, and thrives in a nimble, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, oversee, and implement yearly, measurable marketing strategies consistent with MASS MoCA’s Strategic Plan, vision, and values, with the Director of Strategic Communications and Content.
  • Work with Advancement, Design, and Media teams to promote membership programs and philanthropic campaigns via email and social media campaigns.
  • Develop and steward strong relationships with local, regional and national media outlets.
  • Elevate and promote MASS MoCA’s dynamic, cross-platform program to a wide range of audiences across multiple channels.
  • Manage MASS MoCA’s website and marketing materials, maintaining consistency of brand identity and voice.
  • This is a supervisory role and oversees the Digital Asset Coordinator.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant professional experience (experience with cultural institutions preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (selected candidates will be asked to submit a writing sample).
  • A commitment to producing exceptional work with strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Proven experience managing websites and analytics technologies to engage a diverse audience.
  • Proven strength in time and project management, including the ability to set goals, prioritize and use collaboration tools.
  • Must have gravitas to work under tight pressure of multiple deadlines, in a fast-paced and changing environment, while remaining calm and at ease with media partners and colleagues.
  • Must be able to wear PPE when necessary.
  • For employment at MASS MoCA, candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination will be required for employment.

This position is a full-time, exempt, role with a starting salary of $60K
