Responsibilities for this Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as the SLCM-N Configuration and Data Management Lead. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the configuration and data management processes for the SLCM-N program. You will ensure that all deliverables are accurately tracked, managed, and controlled throughout the program lifecycle, adhering to industry standards and company policies.
What you bring to the table:
- A Bachelor’s of Science or Technology degree, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles, standards, and best practices.
- Experience with configuration management tools and software.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to configuration and data management.
What sets you apart:
- Certification in Configuration Management (e.g., CMII, CMIIC, or equivalent).
- Experience in a defense or aerospace environment, specifically with missile systems.
As the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) Configuration Management Lead, you will:
- Lead the configuration and data management activities.
- Develop and implement configuration management plans, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure proper version control and configuration status accounting for all program-related models, software, and documentation items.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage the integration, verification, and delivery of program deliverables.
- Establish and maintain configuration baselines and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to configuration management policies and procedures.
- Oversee the release and distribution process for program deliverables.
- Manage the change control process, including the evaluation, coordination, and implementation of changes.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on configuration and data management practices.
- Generate and maintain configuration management reports and metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve configuration and data management issues.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the program team.
