PRODUCT INNOVATION COORDINATOR

We are seeking an organized and passionate individual interested in supporting the end-to-end development of innovative, high-performance products that align with our brand values of clean beauty, skin health, and sustainability.

  • Able to work from the Great Barrington, MA headquarters approximately two days per week, with the flexibility to be on-site up to five days per week as needed.

 Product Development

  • Support end-to-end development of new product launches and product renovations- from initial concept through commercialization- ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with brand strategy.
  • Monitor beauty industry trends, innovation, and competitive launches to inform strategic planning and present quarterly insights to cross-functional partners.
  • Assists in compiling market data including category overviews, packaging deep dives, ingredient lists and trends, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Assist in developing new product briefs, including ingredient research, packaging recommendations, competitive landscape analysis, and claims exploration.
  • Catalog and track formula development submissions, evaluations, shade and production batches, and approvals in partnership with contract manufacturers.

 Launch Activities

  • Coordinate and prepare samples for key launch milestones, including internal reviews, forecasting, cross-functional touchpoints, photoshoots, retailer/distributor presentations, and innovation summits.
  • Maintain organized systems for active projects and archives, including product storage, presentation trays, competitive samples, and development materials.
  • Manage internal and external testing and research programs including internal surveys, product usage, claims testing plans and costing etc.
  • Compile Product Information Files (PIF) for all new product launches including: QQ formulas, INCIs, testing documentation, claims, packaging and batch data etc.
  • Request and manage early product and bulk sample needs to support global market readiness.
  • Maintain Brand formula philosophy & blacklist documentation for the PD team.

 

Quality Assurance & Vendor Communication

  • Support quality assurance and complaint management by compiling customer feedback and tracking corrective actions on a quarterly basis with the PD team.
  • Manage the formula inquiries inbox, including logging requests, coordinating internal alignment, and providing timely responses to stakeholders.

 Administrative

  • Serve as a liaison between the brand and external partners including packaging vendors, labs, and manufacturers, to ensure accurate and timely communication on formulas, components, and sample needs.
  • Coordinate trade show agendas and archive formulas and packaging presentations for ongoing development needs.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Product Development team including managing product orders, logistics and any other project related tasks directed by manager.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years of product development experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of makeup.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc).
  • Experience with SmartSheet preferred.
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, team environment.
  • Detail Oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to travel as needed (estimated 10%).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The position is based at our Great Barrington office and requires travel by car and plane for business purposes. Travel is a requirement and expectation of the position, including at times, working on weekends. 

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, and qualifications.
