Senior or Staff Accountant Opportunity for Manufacturer

POSITION OVERVIEW

A privately held injection molding company is actively seeking a Senior or Staff Accountant. The successful candidate will be headquartered in Pittsfield, MA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position will report to the Controller and will be an integral part of our financial department team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of successful accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; specifically, in analyzing and communicating financial results to management.  Candidates must be knowledgeable in performing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, performing reconciliations, preparing Accounts Payable weekly, and coordination/review of financial reports/backup as requested.  The successful candidate must be hands-on and self-motivated; The Company’s responsibility will be to provide the successful candidate intensive on the job training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of a 2 or 4-year business, accounting, or finance degree.
• A minimum of 2 years of prior business experience is preferred. We will review recent college graduates for the right candidate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient computer skills to handle the Company’s accounting software and databases
• Excellent organizational, problem solving, project management, and communication skills.
