Radiation Therapist – Full Time – Day Shift
Pay Range: $39/hour for entry level. Pay based on experience.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Primary Function
- Administers radiation treatments, simulations, dosimetry functions, and fabricates blocks in preparation for treatment
- Requires initiative and independent judgment
- Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required
- Performs radiation therapy treatments as required in either a scheduled or emergent environment under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist
- Updates procedure manuals as needed
- Manages daily treatment schedule of all assignments on the clinical equipment
- Observes and demonstrates familiarity with all safety features in each clinical area
- Works closely with reception, Nursing, and physician components in the provision of patient care
- Position Qualifications
- Experience
- Minimum active exposure in approved program for Radiation Therapy
- Education and Training
- Must have completed formal training from a JRCERT accredited radiation therapy program
- License, Certification & Registration
- MALIC - Massachusetts Radiology License
- CPR - CPR Required
- ARRT(T) - Radiation Therapy
- Other Requirements
- Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work intensive environment
- Attendance at all mandatory education is required
