The RN Clinical Supervisor provides supervision to all clinical support staff while working with the practice manager and under guidance of the CHP physicians. Duties will be performed as assigned and allowed under their license. This person will support CHP's mission, vision, and values and will adhere to compliance protocols as well as CHP's policies and procedures.

          *Bonus prorated based on number of committed work hours upon hire*

RN Clinical Supervisor Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight to clinical team (MA’s and nursing) to ensure all patient and provider needs are met
  • Create staffing schedules based on staff commitments and office needs
  • Assist with annual staff competencies
  • Assist in hiring of support staff
  • Oversee all training of new clinical employees
  • Support quality initiatives and workflow efficiencies
  • Assist with running daily controls on equipment; assist in charting for quality assurance (HCG, strep, sickle cell, urinalysis dipstick, etc.); ensures that billing codes are correct; other routine office duties as requested.
  • Maintain adequate clinical office supplies and orders as needed
  • Help create, update and enforce all clinical office policies and procedures
  • As needed, triages patients both by telephone or walk-in; approve same day visits when appropriate; assist with referrals to area specialists; PT-1 forms; patient education; supervising medical assistants as needed.
  • As needed, assist physicians in all procedures requiring nursing level support; administers immunizations as well as allergy shots; manage requests for prescription medication; process laboratory results, pull charts, review and hold partials- flagging abnormal for provider review and filing normal; contacting patients with results as directed; chart all procedures performed.

  • Spanish speaking/bilingual is a plus

Education:

  • RN or BSN

Experience:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in an ambulatory setting
  • Electronic medical records experience is required
  • Teaching experience (preferred)
  • Supervisory experience (preferred)
  • CPR certification

Required License(s) and/or Certification(s):

  • Must be licensed as a registered nurse or licensed practical by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
