Mountain Coaster Operator

Position Summary

We’re looking for enthusiastic, safety-minded team members to operate Jiminy’s Mountain Coaster this winter season. In this role, you’ll ensure the coaster runs smoothly and safely while delivering a fun and memorable experience for our guests. This is a seasonal, hourly position running from late December through mid-to-late March (weather dependent). Weekend availability is required, with full-time hours preferred during holiday weeks. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Reports to: Mountain Adventure Supervisor and/or Mountain Adventure Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with friendly, professional service and check tickets.
  • Verify that all riders meet height, weight, and age requirements.
  • Assist guests on and off the ride, clearly explaining safety instructions.
  • Monitor the coaster and riders throughout operation to ensure safety.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including snow shoveling and clearing.
  • Support line control and answer guest questions as needed.
  • Report hazards, maintenance needs, or equipment concerns promptly.
  • Assist with opening/closing procedures and support other departments as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong focus on guest service and safety.
  • Weekend, holiday, and vacation week availability.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying winter weather conditions.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Physically able to shovel snow and remain on your feet for long periods.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • CORI background check required.
