The Service Dispatcher at Laureyns United plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Service Department. You will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling and dispatching of technicians to service calls, effectively managing resources to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming service calls and prioritize them based on urgency, customer needs, and technician availability.

• Coordinate with technicians to schedule service appointments and dispatch them to job sites in a timely manner.

• Maintain constant communication with technicians to provide updates on job assignments, changes in schedule, and customer requirements.

• Monitor technician progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate unforeseen circumstances or emergencies.

• Coordinate with customers to confirm appointment times, provide service updates, and address any concerns or issues.

• Collaborate with other departments, including sales and maintenance, to optimize workflow and resource allocation.

• Utilize scheduling software and databases to manage open service orders daily.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office suite and database management.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, technicians, and co-workers.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Two years of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.

• Prolonged periods of using a telephone.
