Carpenter / Skilled Carpenter – Residential Remodeling & Fine Carpentry
Location: Williamstown, MA and surrounding areas
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday (occasional flexibility depending on project needs)
Pay: $25–$40 per hour depending on experience, craftsmanship, reliability, and ability to work independently
We are growing and looking to add a dependable, skilled carpenter to help support multiple active projects.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated carpenter with residential construction experience who can work independently, communicate well, and contribute to projects without requiring constant supervision.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and takes pride in quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Perform residential carpentry work across new construction remodeling and addition projects
- Assist with framing, demolition, installation, and finish work
- Complete work accurately and efficiently with attention to detail
- Read and follow project plans and direction from lead carpenters/owners
- Work collaboratively with small crews across multiple job sites
- Maintain organized and clean job sites
- Help identify problems early and contribute solutions
- Interact professionally with homeowners and clients
Preferred Experience
- 3–7+ years of residential carpentry experience preferred
- Experience with remodeling, additions, kitchens, and finish carpentry
- Comfortable using standard hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently for portions of a project
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Cabinet installation
- Trim and finish carpentry
- Layout and framing
- Experience working in occupied homes
