We are seeking a Massachusetts Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) to provide nutrition counseling, education, and program support within the Berkshire community. This is a dynamic, community-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys working with older adults and sharing nutrition knowledge through counseling, presentations, and writing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct nutrition assessments and provide counseling via:
    • Home visits
    • Telehealth (video)
    • Phone consultations
  • Provide nutrition education to consumers, staff, and community groups
  • Develop lesson plans, handouts, and evaluation materials
  • Contribute articles to a local senior-focused publication
  • Serve as an internal resource on nutrition-related topics
  • Support menu planning to ensure compliance with nutrition standards
  • Complete nutrient analysis and maintain accurate documentation
  • Conduct site visits and inspections
  • Lead trainings for staff and volunteers

Qualifications

Required:

  • Massachusetts Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN)
  • One of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (or related field) + 1 year of experience
    • Associate degree in nutrition (or related field) + 2 years of experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems

Preferred:

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
  • Experience in community nutrition or working with older adults

  • Passion for nutrition education and community health
  • Comfortable with public speaking and one-on-one counseling
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Leadership and initiative; self-starter
  • Team collaboration and relationship-building skills
