Hillcrest Educational Centers is a private not-for-profit agency that provides a range of individualized and comprehensive clinical, psychological and special education services for children, adolescents and families in Berkshire County, MA and the Northeast. The students served by Hillcrest in nonresidential and residential programs have complex psychiatric, behavioral and/or developmental disorders, including autism, and a variety of high risk behaviors.

Hillcrest Educational Centers, with 4 sites located in the scenic Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts, serves over 150 students and provides full and part time employment to over 500 staff. 24 hours a day, year round delivery of services allows for flexible schedules for students finishing undergraduate or graduate degrees.

This job is located in Great Barrington, MA

Schedule:

Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule that supports work-life balance.

Compensation: $22.00 – $25.25 per hour

Additional earnings opportunities:

  • $1,040 raise upon passing the ParaPro Assessment

  • $1,500 referral bonus for every full-time referral who is hired

What You'll Do:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will help ensure a safe, structured learning environment while supporting students throughout their school day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting classroom teachers and therapeutic staff

  • Ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of all students

  • Encouraging positive behavior and personal growth

  • Helping students develop academic, social, and life skills

  • Contributing to a collaborative team focused on student success

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
