Tuning and Repair Shop Technician

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Provide ski and snowboard tuning, binding mounting/adjustment and repair services to guests.

REPORTS TO: Ski and Board Shop Manager

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•Previous experience with ski/snowboard equipment or ability to take instruction

•Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

•Basic computer skills, with the ability to learn the register

•Experience with power tools and hand tools

•Strong selling and customer service skills

•Ski and/or snowboard tuning experience preferred but not required

•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Perform quality tunes, mounting, adjustments and repairs to customers' equipment according to established guidelines.

•Adhere to safety procedures regarding use of tools and equipment.

•Complete accurate work order paperwork and prioritize work orders in an expedient manner.

•Be familiar with the merchandise carried in the store, including brands, key features and benefits, as well as, ability to make accurate suggestions to customers. Remain current on ski industry products and trends to share knowledge with customers.

•Tune, Repair, and store equipment and supplies according to vendor or manufacturer's instructions.

•Ensure that all equipment functions are explained clearly to customers to ensure understanding and safe operation.

•Complete all required documentation. Obtain all required waivers or signatures from customers.

•Ensure that workspace and equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained.

•Regular attendance and punctuality.

•8-hour shifts; may include weekends and/or holidays.

•Lifting and moving equipment and boxes.
