Job Goal:
To support the implementation of an intensive, skill-based educational program grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), under the direct supervision of a Master’s-level Lead Teacher.
Schedule:
School Year (Full-Year Position):
Follows the school district calendar; 5 days per week; Work hours: School hours plus one additional hour beyond student arrival and dismissal times; Includes a daily lunch break (duration and pay status per district union contract).
Extended School Year (ESY):
Schedule and number of workdays vary depending on the district’s ESY program; Work hours: School hours plus one additional hour beyond student arrival and dismissal times; Includes a daily lunch break (duration and pay status per district union contract).
Performance Responsibilities:
Daily Responsibilities:
Ensure student safety at all times; Deliver direct instructional and behavioral support throughout the school day; Embed individualized educational objectives into daily activities as appropriate; Promote skill generalization and maintenance across settings; Collect and enter data on targeted skills using the ACE® electronic system; Maintain accurate and organized student records and materials; Communicate with parents via home logs and relay relevant information to the Lead Teacher or Clinical Supervisor; Support the maintenance of student-specific reinforcers and instructional materials; Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Teacher, NECC Clinical Supervisor, or Administrator; Communicate any student-specific concerns promptly; Uphold high ethical standards and maintain strict confidentiality, in alignment with certified teaching staff expectations.
Weekly Responsibilities:
Graph and summarize student progress data; Attend school-based or partner classroom-based team meetings and training sessions; Collaborate with general education and specialized service staff to support student goals; Request meetings with supervisors as needed for guidance or concerns; Modify instructional materials to meet student needs; Conduct weekly in-home parent training sessions under the supervision of the Lead Teacher.
Monthly Responsibilities:
Participate in Management by Objective (MBO) meetings with the Lead Teacher and Clinical Supervisor for the assigned student; Assist with data preparation and potentially attend monthly family clinics; Review student progress toward IEP goals.
Quarterly Responsibilities:
Support preparation of Progress Reports; Assist in updating case student guidelines and documentation.
Yearly Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP); Complete additional assessments as directed by the Lead Teacher or Administrator.
Reports to: Principal, NECC Lead Teacher, NECC Clinical Supervisor
Compensation: $25/hr
