ATHLETIC COORDINATOR - Hoosac Valley Regional School District - Cheshire

Hoosac Valley High School is hiring for our fall and winter seasons. We are looking for

dynamic men and women, who can develop maximum athletic potential and characteristics

of good citizenship and sportsmanship of student athletes through proper conditioning,

example, and teaching.  

Requirements:   

• To Manage a high-quality athletics program that will provide students with a broad, balanced, and integrated program characterized by high expectations, performance, equity, and sportsmanship as an extension of learning during the formal school day;
• To assist the Athletics Director and Coaches by providing updated information for eligibility;
• To work proactively with student-athletes, families, coaches and school staff to reduce barriers to athletic participation and to work collaboratively with the Athletics Director, Coaches, and Principal to insure a safe, orderly and organized athletics program.

Qualifications:

• Must have a working knowledge of PowerSchool for determining the academic eligibility status of players;
• Must have a working knowledge of the MIAA regulations;
• Assists with the implementation of district policies for interscholastic athletics, specifically the concussion policy implementation and screening for the return to play;
• Ensures that all physical screenings are completed and requirements are met for players by team;
• Creates the team rosters for the Athletics Director, Coaches, and Principal; Reports to the Superintendent, Athletics Director, and Principal;
• May be requested to complete other organizational duties associated with the Athletics program as determined by the Superintendent, Athletics Director, and/or the Principal.
