Job Purpose:
Actively participate in and foster the ACB Culture of excellence while supporting the Bank’s strategic initiatives.
Manages existing client relationships and develop new business strategies focused on client selection all while ensuring an outstanding client experience, adherence to the regulatory, legal and risk management frameworks unique to these client segments. Provides municipal customers with exceptional service while actively developing and maintaining customer relationships to increase profitability of the department.
Consistently and effectively manage behavior within ACB’s established customer service standards and core values while adhering to all established bank policy and procedures.

Duties and Precise Tasks:

2. Adhere to all ACB policies and procedures.
3. Develop & execute an active in person calling plan strategy on the municipal banking portfolio.
4. Manage an assigned portfolio of municipalities, school districts, authorities, and other governmental entities defined by the bank.
5. Develop municipal relationships to bring in new customers and increase share of wallet with existing customers.
6. Build collaborative internal and external relationships to provide the best in client advice and service, ensure a seamless experience for the customer who has multiple products and services.
7. Act as a liaison between bank and assigned customers, resolving problems and providing service in an efficient, timely and professional manner.
8. Identify the needs of assigned customers, recommending and assisting in the development of specialized services required and/or requested by municipalities.
9. Oversees account relationships by ensuring that customers maintain balances, identifying problems and working with other bank departments to resolve those problems, and reviewing monthly analysis statements within assigned municipal customers.
10. Keeps abreast of legislation governing the municipal field and ensures compliance with both bank policies and governmental guidelines.
11. Manage entertainment expenses in compliance with MGL, Chapter 268A, which governs limits per municipal customers for entertainment/gifts.
12. Ensure required bank documentation is completed by customers on a timely basis.
13. Responds to Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by potential & existing customers.
14. Oversee the setup, implementation and training of municipal treasury management services.
15. Plan, organize and attend various events for municipal customers such as training, entertainment or informational forums.
16. Exceed telephone and communication standards when interacting with our customers.
17. Must possess keen attention to detail.
18. Perform additional duties as requested.

Education and Experience:
- 10 or more years of banking, financial-services, commercial-client-service, operations, or comparable professional experience.
- Knowledge of deposit and treasury-management products.
- Experience with account-opening documentation, RFPs, proposals, or spreadsheets.
- Sales and supervisory experience.
Working Conditions:
Time spent:
20% in an office, banking environment
80% out of branch/office
Occasional evenings, overnight conferences and municipal meetings
