Job Opening: School Cafeteria Assistant

Clarksburg Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and reliable School Cafeteria Assistant. This position is approximately 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday, during the school year when classes are in session, with the possibility of additional hours during summer camp.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation and cooking under the direction of the cafeteria manager
  • Serve meals to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Clean kitchen and cafeteria equipment after meal service, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining general kitchen cleanliness
  • Perform other related kitchen duties as assigned
  • Engage respectfully with students and staff in a positive and professional manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in food service preferred
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoys working with children and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Requirements:

  • Must pass all required background checks including CORI and fingerprinting
  • Adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations
