Berkshire County Arc is a non-profit human service agency that has been providing community-based services to adults with developmental disabilities and/or brain injuries for over 50 yrs. Berkshire County Arc’s mission is to assist and support individuals in their quest to identify and realize their chosen lifestyles. This is accomplished through various programs offered: residential homes including independent apartments, employment services, day programs, adult family care, transitions, advocacy & family support, special needs pooled trusts and a mail-house staffed by people with disabilities that serves dozens of businesses across Western Massachusetts.

Berkshire County Arc’s programs are offered in Berkshire County and Pioneer Valley. We serve nearly 1,000 individuals per year and have over 700 dedicated staff.

Berkshire County Arc has an exciting opportunity for a Director of the Adult Family Care (AFC) program. Make a true difference in people’s lives while enjoying a challenging and exciting career.

The Director will oversee the Adult Family Care program, collaborative agency initiatives, service delivery & navigation.  The Director will also oversee all data management and reporting to Department of Developmental Services and Mass Health and any other pertinent funders.  This position will have a presence on the local, regional and state level in all areas pertaining to AFC, while also working collaboratively with the Family Support Department.

 

 

 

    • A Master’s degree in a relevant healthcare discipline field with 3 years of recent professional healthcare experience working with elders or adults with disabilities or a Licensed Registered Nurse with at least 5 years recent experience working with disabled individuals (At least 1 year in a supervisory or administrative position), proficiency in understanding MassHealth Regulations relating to Adult Foster Care preferred.
    • Valid drivers license & Insured vehicle.
