Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized SHINE Program Assistant to support the Program Manager in delivering high-quality services to the community. This full-time role provides essential administrative and clerical support while playing a key part in coordinating volunteers and assisting consumers with health insurance counseling needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to serving older adults and individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the SHINE Program Manager
  • Coordinate, schedule, and support SHINE volunteers
  • Assist with volunteer onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing engagement
  • Provide counseling and assistance to consumers regarding health insurance options
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and program documentation
  • Support outreach, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive client and program information
  • Assist with day-to-day office operations in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience required
  • Ability to complete and pass SHINE training and state certification exam within one year of hire and maintain annual certification

  • Knowledge of quality improvement programs and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional and experience working with databases
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
