Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service, meal preparation, commercial kitchen operations, or a related field preferred, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, food safety, and sanitation preferred.
- ServSafe or food handler certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification as required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, recipes, menus, and established procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dependable and able to maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical Requirements
This position requires extended periods of standing and walking, as well as frequent reaching, grasping, bending, and other physical activities associated with food preparation, meal packaging, serving, stock handling, and cleaning.
The employee will routinely lift and carry food, supplies, meal containers, and other items weighing up to 20 pounds, with occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds. The position may also require pushing and pulling carts, containers, and other kitchen equipment.
